With Genetics Forecast, you simply select a sire and dam from your dogs in BreederBuddy. From there, the tool generates a forecast showing potential outcomes for the litter.
What you’ll see includes:
- The most likely outcomes, plus other possible results
- Percentages when genetics are known and ranges when they’re partial or unknown
- Clear explanations showing why each result appears
- Suggested genetic tests to improve future accuracy
As a bonus, each forecast includes an exportable PDF and a buyer-friendly summary, making it easy to share expectations with puppy buyers.
Built to Work With Real-World Genetic Data
Genetics Forecast is designed to work with the information you already have.
First, open each parent’s profile and navigate to the Genetics tab. From there, you can save results as:
- Lab-tested
- Inferred
- Unknown
After that, head to Tools → Genetics Forecast, select your sire and dam, and generate the forecast.
Importantly, unknown genetics never block results. Instead, they simply widen the range of what’s possible, giving you clarity without false certainty.
