> ## Documentation Index > Fetch the complete documentation index at: https://breederbuddy.com/docs/llms.txt > Use this file to discover all available pages before exploring further. # Google Reviews & Referral Program > Show your Google Business Profile reviews on your BreederBuddy website's testimonials, and save on your subscription by referring other breeders: where to find your referral link and referral code, and whether referral rewards are a payout or a discount — $5/month off for you and the breeder you refer. # Google Reviews & Referral Program > **Video walkthrough:** [Watch on Loom](#) *(link coming soon)* *** This page covers two ways to grow your reputation and save money: pulling your Google reviews onto your BreederBuddy website, and sharing your referral link so other breeders join BreederBuddy — and you both save on your subscription. *** ## What You Can Do Here * Pull up to 5 of your most recent Google reviews into your website's testimonials * Preview your reviews before connecting, and refresh them any time * Share your personal referral link with other breeders * Save \$5/month for each breeder you refer who subscribes, up to 6 referrals * Track your referrals and your current discount *** ## How It Works ### Importing Your Google Reviews This works with a BreederBuddy website and is included on the Pro and Signature plans (and during your trial). On the Standard plan, you'll see an **Upgrade to Pro** button in its place. 1. Open Google Maps, search for your kennel, and click your business so its info panel opens. 2. Click **Share**, then **Copy link**. 3. In BreederBuddy, click **My Website** in the left menu (or go straight to [**My Website → About**](https://app.breederbuddy.com/website/builder?tab=about)). 4. Under **Sections**, click **About**, then scroll to the **Testimonials** group. 5. In the **Import reviews from Google** box, paste your Google Maps link. You can also type your business name instead. 6. Click **Test connection**. Your business name, star rating, and recent reviews appear below so you can check it's the right listing. 7. Click **Save & sync**. A **Connected** badge appears, and your Google reviews now show in your website's testimonials alongside the ones you added yourself, with each reviewer's name, star rating, and a link back to your Google listing. To pull in your newest reviews, click **Refresh**. To stop showing Google reviews, click **Disconnect**. You can also connect Google reviews while you build your website, in the testimonials step of the website builder. ### Sharing Your Referral Link 1. Go to [**Settings → Subscription**](https://app.breederbuddy.com/settings?tab=subscription). 2. Scroll down to **Referral Program**. 3. Under **Your Referral Link**, click **Copy Link**. You'll see a "Referral link copied!" message. Your short referral code is printed just below the link, after **Referral code:**. 4. Send the link to a breeder friend. When they sign up through it and start a paid subscription, the referral becomes **active** and both of your discounts start. Your referral link is also on [**Settings → Co-owners**](https://app.breederbuddy.com/settings?tab=co-owners). When you invite a co-owner who doesn't use BreederBuddy yet and they join, that counts as a referral too — the **Referral (\$5/mo)** column shows where each invite stands. ### How the Discount Works * You get **$5/month off** for each active referral, up to **6** — so 6 referrals means **$30/month off**. * The breeder you referred also gets **\$5/month off** their own plan. * On an annual plan, each referral is worth **\$60/year**, applied at each renewal. * A referral counts only while that breeder keeps a paid subscription. If they cancel, that \$5 comes off your discount; if they resubscribe, it comes back automatically. The **Referral Program** section shows your **Active Referrals**, **Your Discount**, and a list of everyone you've referred with their status. *** ## Key Terms | Term | What It Means | | - | - | | Pending | The breeder signed up with your link but hasn't started a paid subscription yet | | Active | The breeder is a paying subscriber, so your discount applies | | Churned | The breeder canceled — the discount for them is paused until they resubscribe | *** ## Tips & Common Questions > **Can I pick which Google reviews show on my site?** > > No — BreederBuddy shows up to 5 of your most recent Google reviews, as Google provides them. Testimonials you add yourself show alongside them. > **Test connection says it can't find my business. What now?** > > Make sure you're pasting the link from your business's own Google Maps listing (**Share → Copy link**), not a search results page. If it still won't connect, reach out through the chat and we'll help. > **Do I get paid out for referrals? How do I record it in my books?** > > Referral rewards aren't paid out as cash. They come off your BreederBuddy subscription bill as a discount, so there's no income to record. Your discounted charges show on your invoices in the **Stripe billing portal →** on **Settings → Subscription**. > **Can I refer myself or a second account?** > > No — you can't use your own referral link, and each breeder account can only be referred once. > **I was referred and I've also referred 6 breeders. Do I get \$35/month off?** > > No — the discount tops out at 6 × $5 ($30/month, or 6 × $60 a year on annual), including the $5 you get for being referred. > **Why am I seeing a request to review BreederBuddy?** > > Now and then, a small bar at the bottom of the app may ask long-time customers to leave a review of BreederBuddy.
