Your picks show as Recommended Gear on every buyer portal and a Products We Love page on your website, with click tracking and payout logging. # Affiliate Products > **Video walkthrough:** [Watch on Loom](#) *(link coming soon)* *** Affiliate Products lets you share the gear you already recommend — food, supplements, crates, insurance, training — using your own affiliate links. Buyers see your picks in their buyer portal and on your BreederBuddy website, and you can see which recommendations they actually click. *** ## What You Can Do Here * Add products with your personal affiliate link, a photo, and why you recommend it * Start fast from a starter catalog of popular breeder affiliate programs * Show your picks as **Recommended Gear** on every buyer portal, grouped like a going-home checklist * Show a **Products We Love** page on your BreederBuddy website * Track clicks over the last 30 days and all time, and see where clicks came from * Copy a tracked link to share anywhere * Log commission payouts straight into **Other Income** *** ## How It Works ### Adding a Product 1. Click [**Affiliate Products**](https://app.breederbuddy.com/affiliate-products) in the left menu. 2. Click the **Add product** button in the top right. The **Add affiliate product** window opens. * Shortcut: scroll down to the **Starter catalog** section and click **Add my link** on a program you belong to. The title, program, description, and category fill in for you. (Not a member yet? Click **Program site** to sign up with that program first.) 3. Fill in the details: * **Title** (required) * **Program / merchant** — the affiliate program paying you * **Your affiliate link** (required) — paste YOUR personal link. It must start with `https://`. * **Category** — Food, Crate & Home, Training, Health, Toys, or Other. This groups products on the buyer portal. * **Why you recommend it** — a sentence or two in your own voice * **Product image** — optional, but cards with a photo get more clicks. Starter catalog products show the brand's logo until you add your own photo. 4. Click **Save** at the bottom of the window. You'll see a "Product added" message and a card for the product appears on the page. It's now live on your buyer portals and website. ### Managing Your Products Each product card has these controls: * **Copy tracked link** (link icon) — copies a BreederBuddy link that sends people to your affiliate link and counts the click * **Record a payout in Other Income** (money-bag icon) — opens **Add income** on the [**Other Income**](https://app.breederbuddy.com/other-income) page with the **Affiliate Commission** category and the program filled in * **Move up / Move down** (arrows) — changes the order products appear in * **Toggle** (bottom right of the card) — shows or hides the product from buyers without deleting it * **Edit** and **Delete** (bottom right of the card). Deleting asks you to confirm first. ### Tracking Clicks and Payouts The top of the page shows your number of **Products**, **Clicks (30 days)**, and **Recorded payouts**. Below that: * **Click activity** charts clicks over time and splits them by **Buyer portal**, **Website**, and **Copied links**. * **Product performance** ranks your products by clicks and shows any payouts you've recorded for each. * **Recent payouts** lists the latest commissions you logged against these programs. Until you add your first product, these panels show sample numbers marked **Sample**. *** ## Key Terms | Term | What It Means | | - | - | | Tracked link | A BreederBuddy link that counts each click, then sends the buyer on to your affiliate link | | Recommended Gear | The section on every buyer portal that shows your active products | | Products We Love | The page on your BreederBuddy website that shows your active products | | Recorded payouts | Commissions you've logged in Other Income for these programs | *** ## Tips & Common Questions > **How do I add my Amazon affiliate links?** > > 1. Click [**Affiliate Products**](https://app.breederbuddy.com/affiliate-products) in the left menu. > 2. Scroll to **Starter catalog** and find **Amazon Associates Storefront**. > 3. Click **Add my link**. The details fill in for you. > 4. Paste your own Amazon link (your storefront or a single product link from Amazon Associates) into **Your affiliate link**. It must start with `https://`. > 5. Click **Save**. To recommend several Amazon products, click **Add product** (top right) for each one and paste each product's link. > > Not an Amazon Associate yet? Click **Program site** on the Amazon card to sign up first. > **Does BreederBuddy pay me my commissions?** > > No — the affiliate program pays you directly. Click counts are for your information. When a payout arrives, use **Record a payout in Other Income** so your reports include it. > **Do buyers know I may earn a commission?** > > Yes — buyers see a note that you may earn a commission from these links, at no extra cost to them. > **When does the Products We Love page appear on my website?** > > It appears on your BreederBuddy website (and in its menu) once you have at least one active product. Hide or delete all of your products and the page goes away. > **What happens when I delete a product?** > > It disappears from buyer portals and your website, and its tracked link stops working. Any payouts you already logged stay in **Other Income**. If you might use it again, turn off the toggle to hide it instead. > **Which plans include Affiliate Products?** > > Affiliate Products is included on paid plans and during your trial.
