# Updates

> Where to find What's New in BreederBuddy: the latest announcements, new features, improvements and bug fixes, video walkthroughs, and quick polls from the BreederBuddy team. Open it from the megaphone icon at the top of the app.

Updates is where the BreederBuddy team posts announcements, new feature releases, improvements, and bug fixes. It's your inside look at what's changing and improving in the app over time.

## What You Can Do Here

* Read the latest announcements from the BreederBuddy team
* Browse past updates to see what's been added or improved
* Watch video walkthroughs of new features — Loom or YouTube — right inside the update
* Answer short private polls so the team knows what to build next
* Stay informed so you can take advantage of new tools as they launch

## How It Works

1. Click the **megaphone icon** ("What's New") at the top right of the app, next to your name. You can also go straight to [**What's New**](https://app.breederbuddy.com/updates).
2. The **What's New** page opens with the newest updates first.
3. Each update includes a title, date, tag, and description of what changed.
4. Some updates include an embedded video walkthrough (Loom or YouTube) you can watch directly on the page.
5. Use the page buttons at the bottom to see older announcements (10 per page).

When there's a new announcement, it pops up the next time you open BreederBuddy. Click **Got it** to close one, or **View all updates** to jump to the full list.

### Polls

Some updates include a short poll. Your answers go privately to the BreederBuddy team and are never shown to other users. Once you answer, you'll see "Thanks — got your answers." An unanswered poll stays on the update until it closes.

### Update Tags

Updates are tagged so you can quickly understand the nature of the change:

* **New Feature** — something brand new has been added
* **Improvement** — an existing feature has been enhanced
* **Bug Fix** — a problem has been resolved
* **Announcement** — general news from the BreederBuddy team

## Tips & Common Questions

> **Do I need to do anything when a new feature is released?**
>
> Usually no — updates are deployed automatically. If a new feature requires any setup on your end, the update description will explain what to do.

> **How do I get notified about new updates?**
>
> Each new announcement pops up in the app the next time you open it. You can always check the full list from the **megaphone icon** at the top right.

> **I can't find the megaphone icon on my phone. How do I see updates?**
>
> The icon shows on larger screens. On a phone, open [app.breederbuddy.com/updates](https://app.breederbuddy.com/updates) in your browser to see the full list.

> **Can I request features or suggest improvements?**
>
> Absolutely — use [**Feedback**](https://app.breederbuddy.com/feedback) in the left menu (under **Support & Feedback**), or reach out through the chat in the bottom right corner of your screen. Your feedback directly shapes what gets built.
